Day 2 – Notes on IF
Ok, so I don’t think I’m going to post every day, that just seems aggressive and I doubt anyone is even reading these (I’m basically using this site as a journal to refer to) but posting when some goal is met or I have some insights I’d like to capture seems appropriate.
No real hunger pangs (I attribute that to a high protein/fiber meal for dinner). First full day of IF and I’m surprised at how much energy I have – I’m feeling focused and energetic and am accomplishing a lot. I don’t have the usual litany of aches and pains I usually have (it’s still early though!) – but still fighting off a persistent cold which is putting a damper on an otherwise productive day.
It’s also interesting that small choices like bringing in a healthy lunch lead into better choices like cooking a healthy dinner. For the last few months, I’d get home and be so spent I’d just order a pizza or some other takeout but the small act of not going out to lunch and eating my healthy meal built upon itself and I had the energy to cook a delicious sweet potato and chickpea stew that was filling and decidedly more healthy than my usual fare.
